Battlefield 4

What do you guys think so far?

I'm assuming most people have come across the VPN trick to unlock the game early.

Personally, I've run around the training compound and sorted out settings and stuff, game runs super smooth with everything on high, which I'm pretty impressed by, I thought my card would suck with this game. I'm pretty happy with 60-70 FPS, might turn down the settings though to get it up over 120.

 

I played it at PAX and wasn't really that impressed to be honest.
Made me think of Battlefield 3 all over again.

 

Had a pretty good sniping game there, also a good scar game.

I really like the sniper, the first one. Improved a lot from the beta where snipers were sort of underpowered as you couldn't really judge how short your bullet was falling, but they addressed that.

Scar feels nice, but I don't really like the iron sights.

 

Would definetely be a game I'd find a good group with and just play, but I can't due to A) lack of money B) lack of time C) lack of good PC.

Definetely captures the whole teamwork feel when you're working with friends, pretty much the only reason I played games like Planetside (which I still dearly miss, especially when playing with a good squad and just flying around in a Galaxy having a fucking blast).

 

And I now love Battlelog.

I'll write some stuff up about the game a little later on, maybe.

 

To those who have played BF4 - how is netcode , i heard it's wank.

I haven't had an issue with it at all yet, but I'm not terribly fussy when it comes to that type of thing.

 

Massive pile of wank, a lot of the pro players are saying the game won't make it competitively without a change.

I've personally experienced dying behind cover many times. You'll dive behind a crate and then you'll die when you've been behind cover, worse netcode than BF3, which was trash as well.

yes, yes it does, a main feature of battlefield indeed. truly inspirational

 

Anyone still playing? I personally started to play a lot recently, so if anyone fancies, we could get rekt together.

 

I bought it when it was on sale.

Then I returned it.

It feels like a faster-paced BF3 to me, for some odd reason, which I don't like.

 

BF4 is free atm. I am surprised that I can play the campaign with no lag (on low =D), time to see multi (probably going to be a disaster =D )

 

Does anyone still play this game?
