Official Old Skool PH - March 3rd

Judging from the other topic it seems my idea has quite a lot of backing. I haven't counted who's in yet but hopefully there'll be enough people to make this at least 10 vs 10.

I'll probably be editing this post throughout the week with updates from you guys and if things change. So keep an eye out on it.

Being old skool, it should be the old skool maps. I need your thoughts/suggestions/ideas/etc about what to include. I'd rather not have some of the newer maps on because some are quite frankly, horrible to play on. Hopefully Dark is setting up a separate server to #5 so it can just be the old farts for our own needs.

What Dark Needs To Do

Stop being lazy.

Server
Set up a new server.


Heavy
- No Miniguns.
- No Shotguns.

Picnic/Lunchbox items all okay.
All Melee weapons okay.

Pyro
- Disable Backburner.
- Reduce the damage Shotguns deal. Damage multiplier changed from 0.8x to 0.6x
- Increase self damage Shotguns deal? Self damage increased from 8 to 12 per shot
- Change Flareguns to Minicrit rather than full crit. cba to code, deal with it

Engineer
- Enable Pomson 6000 but disable Shotgun. I don't have one to test if OP or that it even works, shotgun disabled however

 

i would vote for the edited versions of the original maps just for the sake of being able to hide instead of the only choice being to run

Perhaps some modified maps but not overly so. Dunno, not sure. As long as there are places to hide.

Oh and there will be few rounds of bridgewars, that I can say for sure .

 

I'm getting positive feedback for:

- No Miniguns and No Shotguns. Period.
None for Pyro, that includes the Reserve Shooter and neither of the two that Heavy uses.
Only the 3 Flareguns for secondary and only Melee + Lunchbox for Heavy.
Melee only Engineer unless you guys feel the Pomson is fine?

 

Although i haven't really been involved much with the community since prophunt. I'd like to tag along for this

I agree with no minigun and shoutguns but i really disagree with only have pyros and heavys, i'd prefer to have engys and medic with only melee and sniper with melees and bow aswell. If it were up to me i wouldnt have pyros at all.

 

I should be able to turn up, don't really have any plans as of now
