Server Rollback

Unfortunately, for some unknown reason the server mucked itself up. Can't say for sure, I'm just hoping there wasn't a big explosion causing lag and misery for all.

I've had to roll back the server to an earlier map. Problem being the backup plugin decided to stop on the 5th of this month, so there's about 4 days worth lost.

Sorry, not much I can do.

(I'm also hanging right and having one of my real life friends ask me why is tekkit not working, now so if you'll excuse me)

 

I am using rdiff-backup. I just can't be arsed reading the manual.

And Mysteryem's just told me no-one was on the server the past 4 days apparently so nothing lost.

 

Nobody's managed to log on to tekkit since 5 days ago, so shouldn't be that much of a problem.

 

Oh and I forgot I was using rdiff-backup as well.

 

That made no sense to me. I blame alcohol.

 

Tekkit server is now back up

Joel broke tekkit, his machines spewed 16k items on the floor since the rollback and were creating 160-300 more every second...I have now fixed tekkit by disabling his machines and removing the items.

I banned the combination of items required from the lower ranked groups, in order to protect the server from exactly this. To all those who are in groups above the community group and know this particular technique with sugar cane, DO NOT use it anymore. The items required may be further blocked from all groups or something similar at a later date.

 

I shall punish my piggy accordingly.

Only one I knew about, who else has one? Most people are using EMC flowers.

 

That would be me, but unlike Joel I saw it's flaw of when the chest fills up it spews the items on the floor and disabled it.

 

Im still having problems connecting to the server. At some times i connect just fine but there are periods where it just refuses to join

 

Yeah there are a lot of connection issues the last week(s) orso. It's annoying as fuck but sadly not much we can do about it I think.

 

Server was down, not sure why.
