TF2 servers temporarily down due to source code leak

    TF2 source code got leaked (Google it), servers have been taken down due to the risks of server or client remote code execution

    You should probably stop playing TF2 until Valve gives the all clear

    I think they're downplaying the severity, how much has the game really changed between 2017 and now?

    Will look to beef up security around the servers before turning them back on

    I'm more worried about the danger to servers from a rogue client, for the average player joining a known-good or official server the risk was probably overstated originally

    Servers are now back up with some additional security hardening

    Please report any issues, with the approach taken I'd be amazed if there weren't any!
