Hiking along that coast is one of my goals to be honest. The writer Johanna Sinisalo might have had a huge influence in that becoming a goal of mine though, but in any case.

Just came back in from my first night out with my new camera, re-learning all the tricks to smooth nightshots. It's going ok, I think.

What camera did you use savvy? Some of those are stunning, especially the photo of the roof.

 

Currently editing my comic con photos... It's taking so long.

 

Honestly think looks better in the before frame, the after frame looks like it lacks contrast - and is oversaturated in places. (Though I'm not actually sure why as you've increased the contrast slider, might be the increased exposure). It's only the background that looks strange though - the subject looks fine.

EDIT: The difference is pretty menial below <500 ISO, but a portrait/still should really be at a lower ISO if the camera is able to capture it with a 1/500s exposure.

 

Yeah it was my first attempt at portrait shots, everything just seemed a little flat. I was shooting at 100-400iso cant remember what shutter speed.

 

Was out trying to see the Northern Lights last night. Sadly it was too foggy so got this instead:
