I am having a hard time with the minecraft stuff. I don't know what version of minecraft you have, i'm guessing 1.6.4 My launcher auto updated to 1.7.2 I cannot find a working link to back date my minecraft. So annoyed with the whole techno java damn grrrr grrrr grrr "£%£$"£ grrr java grrrr mine £%£$ craft. *pants from exhaustion and lack of oxygen* What version minecraft am I aiming for please and thank you kindly.
You don't have to go through all that trouble anymore. Launch your updated Minecraft normally, then there should be an "edit profile" buttom in the bottom left. Click that, then use the drop-down list titled "Use version:" to switch it back to the version you want. However, I'm not entirely sure of what version the GM servers are currently running, so somebody else will have to tell you that.
I cant get vanilla to work. There is no edit anything function just the force update one which is what got me in trouble in the first place. Why do they have to make it so hard, why. Its simple on every other game in existence but this one, grrr. I don't know what pack is being used on FTB or I would join that one. Thank you Hellreaver, im sorry to be a grumpy azz, honestly I am.
Is your Minecraft not fully updated? Have you tried re-installing it maybe? In any case, @Mysterious Hat Grinch

Not upset, just having a grrr moment. Le sigh. I dont know what versions to use for anything, so im just going to leave it be and go do something else. Thanks HellJacks.
For more ease id suggest getting Magic Launcher. It also makes it very very easy to add mods without having to extract folders. But it also helps with selecting your mc version.

Current server version is 1.7.2, most recent minecraft version is 1.7.4. There is a beta version of 1.7.2 out now, so I'll attempt to get as many of the plugins working as I can later (probably tomorrow) (this will end with a map reset if all goes well). The 'new' launcher can use any older versions of minecraft by going to the bottom left and creating a new profile and from there, selecting the version from the drop down menu.
Thanks for the advice, I had to delete my entire vanilla minecraft and re install to get the new launcher.....sigh. But still, its now working so I can move between versions. Why wouldn't it download the new launcher automatically, why. Grrr. Big big thank you Boss Hat Grinch!
I cant count the times I haf to re dl my Minecraft. And now and then I just delete everything to have a fresh log etc.
