Currently a vote on the forums to add a legacy mode along side the current EoC. So basically you get a choice on whether you want to use the abilities and spells from EoC or use the old style of combat.

Anyway what I was going to say was:

5m in oldschool? More like 50m in eoc.

 

Will Legacy also have the old weapon/armour stats as well as special attacks? If so that might be enough to make me consider playing again

 

From what I read from their post it will be what the game was pre-eoc. So yeah specials will be back.

 

Looking for the near future... I have always disliked RS combat system since EoC. I play WoW if I want to use abilities manually.
I want to have Legacy mode so much but this Revolution mode is also OK for me.

Old School will be having a F2P week starting the 27th of May and if it goes well they're considering making old school F2P forever.

Mc and I still play Rs3 and potentially could be playing Oldschool in the summer (on ironman accounts - basically singleplayer, where you have to collect everything yourself).

There's even a guy atm playing an ironman account with No banking!

 

Ok 2007scape is now F2P for 2 weeks.

To play you must create a new account.

Starting now is probably better as people are giving away starter kits I believe.

Also if you're looking for a challenge that many players are doing try "the iron man challenge" - essentially you must not trade with other players (I don't think you can buy non stock items from general stores either) to get things, therefore it's been dubbed "single player runescape". Many people are starting it just to try to achieve many goals, e.g.: "Quest cape, Whip drop, Hilt drop, 99 Strength, Fire Cape" etc. I may play an ironman account myself, although not sure.

 

Playing 07 again, want to finally reach what I reached during eoc when it was pointless.
